Analyzer Tool for Checking Connection to the CAO Server

Analyzer Tool for Checking Connection to the CAO Server

The Analyzer Tool is designed to monitor and analyze the connection between the CAO client and the CAO server. It helps detect and document connection interruptions, especially during production.

Preconditions

  1.  .NET Framework 3.5 (Due to coverage from XP to Windows 11).

Installation

  1. Download the analyzer tool from the DiIT download portal (https://dl.diit.de)

  2. Unzip the Tool
Extract the contents of the file "AnalyserTool.zip" into a dedicated folder named "AnalyserTool".
  3. Target Directory
Copy the "AnalyserTool" folder into the CAO client installation directory:
    C:\Program Files\DiIT\4WIRE CAO Workplace

The final path should look like this:
    C:\Program Files\DiIT\4WIRE CAO Workplace\AnalyserTool

  4. Compatibility
The tool supports both 32-bit and 64-bit system architectures. Although Windows XP has not been explicitly tested, it is expected to work.

Usage

  1. Start the Tool
Launch the Analyzer Tool by double-clicking the executable file inside the AnalyserTool folder. Confirm the startup dialog to begin the analysis.

  2. Background Operation
Once started, the tool runs silently in the background. It does not have a user interface and can only be closed via the Task Manager (end the process manually).
Notes
After a system reboot or user logout, the tool must be started manually again.

Troubleshooting

If a connection interruption occurs during production:
  1. Go to the following directory:
    C:\ProgramData\DiIT

  2. Compress the entire contents of this folder into a ZIP file.
  3. Send the ZIP file to the support team for further analysis.

Notes

  1. The tool does not store any personal data.
  2. For optimal monitoring, the tool should remain running in the background.
  3. For questions or assistance, please contact technical support.
